Integrated Course Over Regular College
If you have just appeared for your 10th board examinations and you have made your mind of choosing the science stream for 11th and 12th, then you must be thinking of taking MEDICAL or ENGINEERING as your future field. If you are aspiring to be Doctor you are required to give entrance exams like AIIMS, NEET or others, and if you want to become an Engineer or an IITian you are required to give JEE(MAINS/ADVANCED) and others. But one thing which both the fields have in common is that they have tough competition and it takes lots of effort for a student to crack it and get himself enrolled in the top institutes of the nation.
To survive in the competition you may be thinking of joining coaching institutes which will train you, and help you in cracking these entrance examinations. Let us say you have chosen an institute the next obstacle which stands in your way is what should you choose an INTEGRATED COURSE or continue your regular college and join a coaching institute.
What is an INTEGRATED COURSE? In simple terms under this course, the institute is responsible for your preparation of boards as well as the entrance exams. You will be given admission to a college but the institute will be responsible for the teaching and not the college. The institute will manage a schedule in which it will cover your college syllabus as well as prepare you for your entrance examination. The advantage of choosing this option over others is that you will have more hours for self-study which may give you a slight edge over others as it can help you in clearing your basics and a better understanding of concepts.
If you choose the second option you will indulge yourself in a hectic schedule where you are supposed to attend the college lectures and then attend the lectures of the coaching institute where there might be a possibility that the timings of your college and the coaching institute might clash, as a result, you might be able to attend either college or the institute lectures. It becomes more difficult when you have an assignment to submit and an important lecture on the same day. In addition to it choosing this option, you will be having fewer hours for self-study.
In the end, it depends on an individual how confident and determined he/she is and how comfortable he/she feels with the chosen option. But if any suggestion is required, an INTEGRATED COURSE will surely help those who want to crack these exams and ensure that they get a seat in one of INDIA'S topmost institutes.
